The TMRC V3 Outboard: 3660 Motor and TFL Lower Unit Setup

Every TMRC V3 outboard is built on the same platform: a 3660 water-cooled brushless motor driving a TFL lower unit, inside a printed cowling and midsection. Learn it once and every V3 motor we sell goes together the same way, whether it's the Merc 300X, Merc Pro 400, Yammy 250, Yammy 425, Verado 350 or DF300.

The Drive System is hand-assembled in small batches, with about 3 weeks from order to ship.

The parts list

• Motor: 3660 brushless, water-cooled (2150KV on the Merc 300X)
• Lower unit: TFL lower unit
• Drive shaft: 4 mm stainless (44.3 mm long on the Merc 300X)
• Lower unit screws: M2, 25 mm on the Merc 300X and Yammy 425, 55 mm on the Verado 350
• Steering / swivel bolt: M3 x 80 mm on the Merc 300X and Verado 350, M3 x 65 mm on the Yammy 425
• Heat-set inserts: strongly recommended for every bolt
• ESC: water-cooled; we list 90A to 150A for our twin-outboard Carolina 26

Battery: the 3660 V3 runs on 2S to 3S. We like hard-case LiPos from 5000 to 7500 mAh.

Print settings for outboard parts

• Infill: 5%, 3D honeycomb, more around high-stress mounting areas if you run hard

Mounting it to your boat

Newer TMRC hulls, like the Lynx 36 Cat, Mangrove Cat, Viper 37 and Raptor 30CC, are designed around the V3 outboard, so it bolts straight to the transom. Running an older flat-transom hull? The Flat Transom Outboard Bracket mounts it with no drilling. For twin or quad setups on Freeman hulls, use the Twin/Quad Transom Adapter.

Upgrading from V2

The V3 is a direct bolt-on upgrade for the TMRC 3660 V2 platform, with a stiffer mounting structure for high-power setups.
