FAQ Page
1. Are these physical boats or digital files?
We sell digital STL files unless otherwise stated. STL packs allow you to 3D print the boat yourself. Some ready-to-run physical builds are offered separately and will be clearly marked as such.
2. Do the STL files include electronics or hardware?
No — our STL packs include digital 3D models only. You’ll need to source your own electronics, hardware, and assembly materials. We include recommended components and print settings in the README file.
3. Can I sell boats I print from your files?
No — our files are for personal use only unless you have written permission from Tremendous Marine RC. Selling physical prints or redistributing files is prohibited under our license.
4. What printer do I need to make these boats?
Our designs are optimized for large-format FDM printers such as the Anycubic Kobra 3 Max, but they can be printed on other machines with adequate build volume. Smaller printers may require more sectioning and glue-up.
5. What filament should I use?
We recommend PETG for strength, durability, and water resistance. PLA+ can be used for prototypes but is not recommended for long-term water use.
6. How long will it take to print?
Print times vary by model and printer, but large builds can take 100–230+ hours in total. The README in each STL pack lists estimated filament usage and print time.
7. Do you offer refunds?
Because STL files are digital and delivered instantly, all sales are final. Please review product descriptions carefully before purchasing.
8. Do you provide support if I have trouble printing?
Yes! Email us at tremendousmarinerc@gmail.com with your order number, and we’ll help troubleshoot. We also share tips and resources through our builder community.
9. Do you make custom boat models?
We do offer custom design services for one-off builds or replicas. Contact us for a quote.
